Pineapple-Orange Beef Stir Fry


  • 2 Laura's Lean Grass Fed Sirloin Steaks (10 ounce steaks, trimmed and sliced thinly into strips)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tsp red chili flake
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 2 garlic (minced)
  • 2 bite-sized fresh or canned pineapple chunks
  • 2 scallions (sliced)
  • 3 cups hot cooked white rice
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 orange (set aside zest and juice)


In a small bowl, combine the orange juice, orange zest, soy sauce, chili flakes, and water.  Place the sirloin in a large bowl and sprinkle with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.  Toss to evenly coat.

Place a large skillet over high heat.  Add the vegetable oil followed by the seasoned meat and cook until browned.  Transfer to a plate and set aside.  Add the garlic to the pan and cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes.  Add the pineapple and orange juice mixture, then simmer until the pineapple becomes slightly tender, about 3 minutes.

Return the beef to the pan along with the cut orange flesh.  Bring to a boil, then remove from the heat.  Divide among 6 plates along with the white rice.  Sprinkle each portion with an even amount of scallions and serve.
