-
What does all-natural mean?
The USDA defines all-natural as "Minimally processed, no artificial ingredients." Since 1985, Laura's Lean has taken that even further, with a commitment to providing beef that is not only all-natural but also gluten-free with no antibiotics or added growth hormones ever.

-
Is your ground beef packaged in the same area as allergens?
No. Laura's Lean ground beef is not ground or packaged in areas that have any exposure to any of the Big 9 allergens. milk, eggs, nuts, fish, crustaceans, shellfish, wheat, soy, and sesame.
-
Why does lean beef tend to cook so quickly?
Lean beef tends to cook faster than beef that contains more fat. We recommend that cook time and temperature be reduced to preserve moisture and tenderness; however, please note that all ground beef should be cooked to and endpoint temperature of 160°F.
-
How long do I have to use the ground beef?
Laura's Lean ground beef should be cooked or frozen by the use-by / sell-by date on the package. Storage temperature is the most critical to maintaining freshness. Ground beef should be transported and stored at 40°F or less.
-
Can I freeze ground beef?
Yes. If the ground beef was purchased fresh from a grocery store (instead of our online store which is already frozen) and you wish to freeze the product, this should be done prior to the use-by / freeze-by date on the package.
-
How long can I keep ground beef in the freezer?
We recommend freezing your ground beef and consuming it within 3-4 months after freezing. According to the USDA ground beef is best if used within 4 months.
-
What do the percentages on the ground beef label mean?
The first number listed is the percentage lean and the second number is the percentage fat, such as 96% lean/4% fat in our extra-lean ground beef product.
-
