Steak Sandwiches with Olive Relish

This can be served with or without the bread.

Ingredients
2 large tomatoes, finely chopped
1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
1/4 cup pitted kalamata olives, finely chopped
2 tablespoons capers
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, divided
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
4 (4 ounce) Laura's Lean Sirloin Steaks
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon ground red pepper
8 French bread slices
Lettuce leaves, fresh chopped basil leaves (optional)
Directions
1. Heat grill to medium-high.
2. Combine tomatoes, onion, olives, capers, vinegar, oil, 1/4 teaspoon salt and pepper in a small bowl.
3. Place steaks in baking dish; rub steaks with garlic, Italian seasoning, red pepper and remaining salt.
4. Grill steaks, covered with grill lid, over medium-high heat (350° to 400°) about 8 to 10 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness. Slice across the grain into thin slices. Layer steak, Olive Relish, lettuce, and basil, if desired, on bread slices and serve immediately.
Makes 4 servings.
