One Pot Spaghetti

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 25 minutes

Ingredients
1 pound Laura’s 92% Lean Ground Beef or 96% Lean Ground Round
1 small onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 (14.5-ounce) cans no-salt diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (8-ounce) can no-salt tomato sauce
1 (6-ounce) can tomato paste
2 cups water
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon salt
Dash pepper
7-ounces of packaged spaghetti, uncooked
Grated fresh Parmesan cheese and fresh basil leaves

Directions
1. Cook first 3 ingredients in a large Dutch oven, stirring until beef crumbles and onion is tender; drain.
2. Stir in tomatoes and next 7 ingredients; bring to a boil.
3. Add pasta and cover, reduce heat and simmer, stirring often 20 minutes.
4. Top with cheese and fresh basil, if desired.

Makes 6 to 8 servings.

Cooking Tip: Break your spaghetti noodles to fit the pot. This makes it easier to incorporate the pasta into the rest of the dish.
