Latin-Spiced Steak

Ingredients
4 (4-ounce) Laura’s Lean New York Strips
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/4 cup fresh lime juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons chili powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground paprika
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne
2 teaspoons olive oil

Directions
1. Season steaks with salt and pepper. Combine lime juice, garlic and cilantro in a small bowl; toss mixture with steaks and cover and refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
2. Combine chili powder and next 4 ingredients in a small bowl; rub on both sides of steaks. Heat 2 teaspoons oil in a sauté pan coated with cooking spray over medium-high heat. Sear steak for 3 minutes per side and transfer to a baking sheet. Bake steaks at 400°F for 8 to 10 minutes or until desired degree of doneness.

Makes 4 servings.

Cooking Tip: If you have an ovenproof sauté pan, you do can simply put pan in the oven and avoid having to transfer steaks to a baking sheet.
