Nutrition Facts for Healthy Beef
Laura’s Lean Beef was founded by Laura Freeman in the belief that you don't have to give up beef to enjoy a healthy diet. We are pleased to provide Nutrition Facts for our healthy Ground Beef, Steaks and Roasts, and Fully Cooked Entrees.
Because of naturally occurring variations in beef, individually packaged steaks and roasts will vary to some degree from the nutrient content on the label. The Nutrition Facts below represent the average nutrient content of Laura's Lean Beef production, in accordance with USDA regulations.
The following healthy beef products (highlighted below in red) have been certified by the American Heart Association: Laura's 96% Lean Ground Round, 96% Lean Ground Sirloin, Sirloin Steak, Beef Pot Roast Au Jus, and Shredded Beef with Barbecue Sauce.

What do we mean by lean?
Based on the government’s definition, for a food to be considered “lean,” it must contain less than 10g of fat, 4.5g (or less) of saturated fat and less than 95mg of cholesterol per serving.
To be classified as “extra lean,” it must contain less than 5g of fat, less than 2g of saturated fat and less than 95mg of cholesterol per serving.
All Laura’s Lean Beef products meet or exceed the requirements of the lean or extra lean criteria.
