Official G.R.I.L.L. Contest Rules

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Purchase will not improve chances of winning. The G.R.I.L.L. – “Grill Replacement Initiative from Laura’s Lean” Contest begins August 19, 2009 at 9:00 AM ET and ends September 8, at 11:59 PM ET ("Contest Period"). Three winners will be selected, one per week, with the first announced August 26, 2009 from all entries received August 19 through August 25, 2009, the second announced September 2, 2009 from all entries received August 26 through September 1, 2009, and the final winner announced September 9, 2009 from all entries received September 2 through September 8, 2009.  Contest is subject all applicable federal, state and local laws.  Void where prohibited.

ELIGIBILITY: Open only to permanent, legal U.S. residents residing in the continental U.S. or D.C. (excluding PR and other United States territories, AK and HI.), who are eighteen (18) years of age by August 19, 2009.  Employees of Laura’s Lean Beef, promotional agencies, their immediate families (spouses/parents/children/siblings, and their spouses), and persons living in the same households of these are not eligible.  Limit one entry per person or per email address.
 
TO ENTER: Go to www.laurasleanbeef.com/grill during the Contest Period.  Follow instructions to submit entry via email. You must attach a JPEG format photo of your grill and submit an essay of 120 words or less in English on the theme: "Why I need a new grill".  Focus on your specific grill issues such as broken parts, damage, corrosion, dirt and/or funny anecdotes of how the grill is in bad condition.  The Photo and Essay must be original, truthful, unpublished, created solely by the entrant, and not have been submitted in any other competition.  You must have the permission of any other person appearing in the Photo.  Entries become the property of the Sponsors and will not be acknowledged or returned.

Entrants grant Sponsor the non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable rights to use, publish, edit, adapt, modify, and otherwise exploit the photos/essays and to incorporate them in other works in any and all markets and media in perpetuity.  Entrants warrant that they have the exclusive right to grant such rights to Sponsor and that the Sponsor's reproduction, publishing, displaying, and/or other use of the photos/essays will not infringe on any rights of third parties, including, copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity, or create claims for defamation, idea misappropriation, intentional or negligent infliction of emotional distress, or breach of contract.  Entrant also warrants that he/she has obtained written permission when photographing on private property not owned or controlled by entrant, where such permission is required. Upon request, entrant must provide Sponsors with signed releases from the owners of any private property where grill was photographed. 

Sponsor’s computer shall be the official timekeeper for all matters related to this Contest. Entries that are incomplete, garbled, corrupted, or unintelligible for any reason, including, but not limited to, computer or network malfunction or congestion, are void.  In case of a dispute over the identity of an entrant, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the person who is assigned to an email address by the organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.  Entry constitutes permission (except where prohibited by law) to use entrant’s name, city, state, and likeness for purposes of advertising, promotion, and publicity in any and all media now or hereafter known, throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification, permission, or approval.

JUDGING: The Sponsor will review eligible Entries received and select a potential Winner for each week based on Originality (50%) and Creativity (50%). Decisions of Sponsor are final with respect to all matters related to the Contest. Potential winners will be notified by email and will be required to execute an affidavit of eligibility, liability and publicity release.  Ineligibility will result in disqualification and, at Sponsors’ discretion, an alternate potential Winner may be selected from among all eligible remaining Entries based on the Judging Criteria. Sponsors reserve the right to pick no potential Winner or to extend the Contest Period, if less than 25 entries are received in the weekly contest segment.

PRIZE:  Each of the three winners will receive a Char-Broil 4 Burner Stainless Steel LP Gas Grill (assembly not included) and five $10 gift certificates good toward any Laura’s Lean Beef products. Estimated Retail Value is $350 each.  Prizes will be shipped on or before September 30, 2009. 

ADDITIONAL TERMS:   The failure of Sponsors to comply with any provision of these Official Rules due to events not within their control or other "force majeure" events will not be considered a breach of these Official Rules.  Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any injury or damage to entrants’ or to any other person’s computer (or any other property) relating to or resulting from entering or downloading materials or software in connection with the Contest. Released Parties are not responsible for telecommunications, network, electronic, technical, or computer failures of any kind; for inaccurate transcription of entry information; for errors in any promotional or marketing materials or in these Official Rules; for any human or electronic error; or for Entries that are stolen, misdirected, garbled, delayed, lost, late, damaged, or returned. Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, modify, or suspend the Contest or any element thereof (including, without limitation, these Official Rules) without notice in any manner and for any reason (including, without limitation, in the event of any unanticipated occurrence that is not fully addressed in these Official Rules).  In the event of cancellation, modification, or suspension, Sponsors reserve the right to select a Winner from among all eligible, non-suspect Entries received prior to the time of the event warranting such cancellation, modification, or suspension based on the Judging Criteria.  Notice of such cancellation, modification, or suspension will be posted on the Website. 

DISPUTES:  The Contest is governed by the laws of the State of Kentucky. Entrants agree that any unresolved controversy or claim shall be resolved by final and binding arbitration. All proceedings will be conducted in the Fayette County, Kentucky.  Entrants agree that the remedy for any claim shall be limited to actual damages, and in no event shall any party be entitled to recover punitive, exemplary, consequential, or incidental damages, including attorney’s fees or other such related costs of bringing a claim.
