More Easy and Delicious Recipe Substitutions: Sodium
Here are some easy ingredient substitutions to help reduce the amount of sodium in your diet. Use low-sodium, reduced-sodium or sodium-free products whenever possible.
If your recipe calls for seasoning salts, use salt-free seasonings such as herbs, spices, lemon juice or vinegar.
If your recipe calls for soy sauce, use hot mustard or low-sodium soy sauce.
If your recipe calls for table salt, use herbs, spices, fruit juice or salt free seasonings. Omit salt or reduce by 1/2 in recipes (except in products with yeast).
