While we take an old-fashioned approach to raising our beef naturally, Laura's Lean Beef makes use of the latest in technology in processing our beef. Laura's Lean Beef produces its beef in processing plants that are 10,010.1-compliant - meaning that our plants meet the USDA's highest standards for food safety and handling, minimizing risk for food-borne pathogens.
Our meat processing/quality assurance division ensures appropriate handling and transportation of cattle, humane treatment, proper inspection and supervision, careful food handling and storage, and meticulous attention to food safety.
We offer our retailers the option of case ready packaging on our Ground Beef and Ground Round. At our processing plant, our case ready beef is packaged into one-pound packages. Case ready beef is not subject to additional grinding or handling at store level.
